About Refurbished Items : A weapon is declared refurbished when, following a standard inspection by Calimacil, it does not reach the expected esthetical level. A refurbished weapon will have the same security level as a standard Calimacil weapon but may have some lower quality result on painting, forms or other. This type of weapon is covered by a one year warranty on manufacturing defects that can result in the weapon breaking or being unsafe. It will however not cover the visual aspect of the product like the warranty on our regular items.
Training with wooden swords is very practical, but when facing a real threat, survival is less than assured without a sturdy steel blade. But to be able to hold to this weapon, one needs to have gone through the adulthood rite of passage. After the series of trials, that are kept secret until I am facing them, I will officially be considered an adult. This means I will receive, like every man and woman of my clan, a sword. I will then be able to take part in the battles they fight, and help them defend what is ours.
Of historical inspiration, this sword is perfect for knights, warriors and other characters fighting for a noble cause or for the domination of a country. Moreover, it is not unheard of that such a sword is found in the depths of a Troll’s keep or in the hands of an Orc, meaning that some unfortunate adventurer crossed paths with some dire beast.

I ordered my first sword after afew weeks of research online on where to get the best larp weapons I found Cali was the 9ne named most so I figured I'd try them my sword came fast great packing great shape I'm really happy with my Robert stark only gripe I have is it's shorter then all the other bastard swords I come across but the balance and weight make up for that in all I highly recommend any Cali weapons
Bought this as my first time venture into foam swords and the like and although Canada Post took almost a month to get it to me, I am amazed at the quality and the weight. 10/10 would buy again.
The refurbished models look as good as new
At my very first LARP event years ago in St Louis, someone who attends Biccoline, recommended Calimacil to me as a product that would last! My first sword from Calimacil still works great and is in good condition 3 yrs later with no maintenance, and rough treatment. I finally decided to upgrade to a longer sword given the lovely holiday discount code Calimacil sent in a holiday postcard in Dec 2019. This time, I bought the refurbished Robbert Stark longsword model at the lesser cost, using the holiday discount code at a great price, just to try it out. I actually ordered this because of other reviews saying the grip was thinner than most. I personally LOVE the thinner grip on the Robbert Stark longsword from Calimacil. This sword is light, and fits my short stubby fingers perfectly! This does not feel blade heavy at all, and feels very quick and easy to maneuver! This will be my new 'go to' sword for #LARP, and I anticipate less fatigue in my 'bad arm' if my dominant arm gets rendered useless. While there are 1 or 2 bumps, some mild pinholes in the blade, and uneven areas on the cross guard as a refurbished, you will not notice them if this is in action or from afar. Photo included of both sides. I don't need a pretty LARP sword considering the anticipated use it is going to get, and this still feels safely padded. I have a feeling I will buy another one that is not a refurbished model when 'pretty' matters. My spouse and son, who are both taller than me (5'7) felt the grip was too thin, but it feels perfect to me. I think this is great for people with smaller hands, as I do not feel any grip fatigue just trying to hold onto it and the longer grip allows more versatility if someone needed to use two hands. I also have the Solin II which is great for small hands, however is a shorter blade, which matters when you are facing others with a longer reach. I am looking forward to trying this out at the next LARP event I attend. #LARPsword #Calimacil #LadiesWhoLarp
Me and a few of my friends bought this sword as a Christmas gift for our LARP game master. Previously he hadn't owned a latex weapon of any kind and he LOVED this sword. Although he has yet to use it in actual battle, he joyfully whacked each and everyone of us, after admiring it's craftsmanship since the moment he opened the box. I have purchased my fair share of Calimacil weapons and (besides some normal wear and tear) they have all held up phenomenally. I don't doubt that the "Robbert Stark" will live up to expectations and I can't wait to see it wreck havoc on the battlefield. Well done Calimacil on another fabulous weapon!
