This was my first real purchase for my LARP kit 5 years ago and it is still going strong. It looks amazing getting compliments wherever it goes and even someone like me with 0 experience and training in any form of combat could tell the difference it made in LARP combat. It looks great, easy to use, and its safe. Definitely thinking about getting mine a partner.
I've been a swordfighter for a loooong time. Medieval style, modern style, eastern style, western style, I've had training in pretty much any length of sword.
The first time I put my hand of the calimcil's katana, I knew there was something different. The weight balance and the air flow on this sword are something that is closer to the real deal than a foam sword.
I often make my own larp weapons, but this one, I could not just go by. So after more than a year of borrowing the calimacil katanas of my friends, I just went and bought one.
I think it will be one of my favorite thing on my belt for at least ten years. The first calimacil I bought lasted that long, so... ;)
Cette arme est probablement une des plus réussi de Calimacil, elle est si réel que lorsque je la manie, j'ai l'impression de manier un de mes véritable katana.
Many larp weapons end up a little more blade heavy than ideal especially ones meant to be wielded with two hands but not so with this sword. It balances within six inches of the tsuba making it incredibly agile for it's length in one or both hands. The beautifully detailed hilt provides a great grip without being rough on the hands and it's many interchangeable tsubas mean that even if a few people in your crew already have these yours can still stand out. An easy recommendation for any ninja/samurai characters, this sword won't let you down.
L'épée est légère et très bien équilibrée. c'est agréable de se battre avec. Très esthétique aussi.
Is it any tsuba included?
Unfortunately, no tsuba is included.
