Human Kingdom
shogunate, Wind of the Dragon
Legend
In 1185, Minamoto Yoritomo took control of the Japanese military forces and accepted the title of shogun. Formerly used to name the General of the emperor at the time of a campaign, the term shogun became a hereditary position. This title gave the power to administrate the country. The emperor embodied more of a symbolic position within a system strongly stripped from any political powers. It is only in 1850 that the shoguns disappeared, followed by the modernization of the country.
