Just recieved my Falchion this morning. From the moment I picked it up it felt like I could have gone into a hundred battles with no concern of armor. The handle is like the Magnus, Vetern's sword, and another person had commented on how the handle felt odd at first. I agree that you look at it and the bulge in the handle seems odd but when I picked it up I found ti instaly allowed me to hold my sword better and it fit perfectly into the palm of my hand.
Though I make my own larp weapons and have for many years nothing compares to a Calimacil. Fine craftmanship, beautiful details (on the handle I will note you can see tiny "braid" work on the ends of the handle as though it was fastened on like a real sword) and excellent balance. I can easily handle the Falchion with one hand or grip with two for extra power. It strikes like the wind and flys like it was made of wings.
I highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of the style, prefers a longer handle or loves a quicker sword. (Posted on 6/9/10)
