5/5 * * * * * Review by Engelus
Just recieved my Ninja this morning. The handle though simple looking if you look at it you will notice the wood lines as though it was really wood.
The Blade is not just painted to give the tempered appearance of the famed Katana, but is actually carved so when you run your fingers down it you -feel- it.
The handling is perfect, the weight is great (seems to be just above the handle)
and Mine makes a great "whissh" sound when I cut the air.
The blade does have a backing curve to it, one you will notice (like how a proper katana should)
The Extended handle allows for better weilding and as I stated several times, it's just like a real katana.
Overall, I highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of the style or interested in the blade. I can not wait to use it more.
As Calimacil recommends, it's perfect for your own wrapping, decorating, etc. A great buy for first time customers or old veterns.
As for Decorating, Calimacil has recommended to me to use Model paint for warhammer minitures. It works the best. (Posted on 6/17/10) -
9 out of 10 - an excellent buy!! Review by Eclypse76
I have been researching Latex/ Manufactured LARP weapons for a few years now because the LARP I play (KANAR) has pretty strict standards for using such weapons. I took it to my first event last weekend & it went over pretty well. The blade got passed by the marshalling staff with the stipulation that if they got complaints I would have to remove it from play. I got in several fights, some of which were against members of the staff, & got only one complaint & that was my bad.
This blade has a good weight to it, looks nice & has both a good thrusting tip & decently soft pommel which is difficult to find on the web. My only concern is that the blade seems a little whippy.
Also, I would like to know what kind of paint I should use to detail the weapon. I did not see any paints for sale on the site & the ninja comes unpainted.
I would have to say this sword is a solid 9 out of 10 in both quality & value. (Posted on 3/29/10)
