My first Calimacil, and most definately not my last.

Think Eldar, think picture a sweeping glittering arc of pure martial bliss - Argalad is that. Eveer since LoTR graced the big screen, I'd searched for a 'suitable' weapon for an elvish character. This sword is it. Weighted perfectly for one or two-handed use, it arcs through your forms with a grace unlike anything else. Otherworldly.

The brown 'wooden' hilt is ornamented with a bronzed pommel, the single edged blade soflty curved throughout, fine filigree elvish script adorning the blade. The solid core has no whip, and even with a mis-pulled blow at harder than intended force is softly 'spread' by the amazing consistency of the foam.

I've been playing with this sword since I've got it two hours ago, literally only taking time out to write this review. Exceeded all my expectations, period. Absolutely jaw-dropping! Thank you Patrick, Mike and the crew at Calimacil for an amazing sword.

The Argalad caught my eyes months ago and i knew it would be the first of my orders. From the moment I opened my package i knew it had been the right choice. The handle is solid and the end tip of the handle is polished giving it an incredibly real feel and look. The blade is soft and yet stable. The details of the elven marks and runes are perfect and though is is long (it is overall 42" thus a perfect Bastard Sword) it handles excellently. I prefer to use it as a two hander . The Balance is exceptional, the weight being about 1/4 but primarily in the handle.
For the fan of any Elven blade or simply for those who enjoy fantasy or as I do, playing as an Elf, I highly recommend adding Argalad to your inventory.
This magestic blade will undoubtedly become your favourite for hand and a half-two handed combat as it sings it's song across your battlefields. (Posted on 6/9/10)
