i have had mine for over a couple months now. i am in a full contact larp group called savage in which we practice twice a week, 5 hours a practice. this naginata has handled beautifully thus far. the length is perfect for medium and long range tactics. the whip is minor (which is hard to find in a polearm), it whips when striking with the broadside of the blade but there is no whip with the edge. perfect for chinese spear distraction techniques without the wrap around effect of most long boffer weapons. the haft rivet decorations have all come off from gripping in various lengths, but the grip is nice. the foam is dense but not enough to cause an injury, and the blade tip is perfect for full force stabs (the really squishy tip bends to the side without any tears or protrusions of core).the one actual dislike about this weapon would have to be the superfluous leather binding between the blade and the haft, this fell off my 3rd week of practice, meh, it looks better this way in my opinion.
overall: this is a perfect mid to long range polearm, easy to manuever but with enough oomph and rigidity to be effective. super stable and light enough to throw quick strikes.but get rid of the leather, because its just going to fall off anyway.

I just got this yesterday and I am impressed with how durable this weapon was.
I was expecting much more whipping action but it's pretty firm when striking.
The grip was exceptional and it was easy to manuever the blade. It is well worth
the money spent and your opponent will find it very difficult to get within strikiing
range. Plus they KNOW when they got hit because of its leverage. They length is
