When I first bought this weapon, it was magnificent, except for the hardness of the foam, and the lack of foam on the thrust tip (there's maybe an inch and a half). Over the course of the summer the weapon took much heavier wear and tear than I expected. the foam on the tip of the sword developed many small holes, the blade foam was punctured in two spots, the part of the hilt that overlaps the base of the blade as decoration came unglued, and one side of the hilt is threatening to tear off. In addition, the blade itself is about 6 inches shorter than a standard historical bastard sword length. All that being said, its a beautiful weapon, and was very nice to use one handed. Also, the balance was magnificent. I'm not sure if i received a defective sword, or what, but overall I am extremely dissatisfied with it. (Posted on 12/25/10)

This blade is amazing. It is the most beautiful weapon I own and it is also one of the safest.

If you are going for a classic D and D paladin concept nothing beats the Angel Blade. It is lovely, realistic, and has enough heft that players in full armour can feel the blows. The blade is also perfectly balanced so you can easily gauge your attacks and pull your punches when needed.
